What this site is
primavactor is an independent editorial chronicle about historic gaming houses in Europe. It is information and opinion. It is not a booking service, a travel agent, an operator, an affiliate, a broker or an adviser, and we do not act for any venue, operator or authority. Nothing here is advice to gamble, and nothing here is financial, legal or travel advice.
Accuracy, and its limits
We check everything we publish and we date it. We still cannot guarantee it. Entry fees, dress rules, opening hours, game lists, ownership and licences change, sometimes the week after we look. Where our entries and a venue's own site disagree, the venue is right and we are stale. Check before you travel; do not plan an evening around a number on this page.
We give no warranty of any kind, express or implied, about completeness or fitness for a purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from acting on something you read here. What we do offer is a correction, quickly and in public, if you show us we are wrong: [email protected].
Links out
We link to official venue sites and to help organisations. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them, and we take no payment for any link on this site. There are no affiliate links here.
Other people's property
Venue names, trademarks and logos belong to their owners and appear here for identification and review, which is what the law allows and all we are doing. Photographs are credited individually in the footer with their licences; most are Creative Commons or public domain material from Wikimedia Commons, reused under those licences. Our own words and the layout are ours. Quote us with a link and we will be pleased. Republish an entry wholesale and we will not.
If you hold rights in something here and think we have used it wrongly, write to us. We would rather fix it than argue about it.
Age
This site is for adults. The minimum gambling age is set where the venue is: 18 in Italy and Portugal, 18 in Hesse but 21 in Baden-Württemberg, 21 in Belgium. See responsible gambling for the full table and for free, confidential help.
The mailing list
Joining is voluntary and leaving is one click. What we collect and who processes it is in the privacy notice; what gets written into your browser is in the cookie and storage notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away rights you have at home that cannot be contracted out of.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes. Continuing to read the site after that means the new version applies.
